WCS Board members play a crucial role in ensuring that we operate effectively and align with our mission and values. The board sets policies and makes high-level decisions regarding the direction and management of the school. They ensure that these policies are consistent with the school’s mission and legal requirements. They are also responsible for approving budgets, monitoring financial heath and ensuring that the school is financially stable.  Board members participate in long-term planning, helping to set goals and strategies for the school’s growth and development. They work with the administration to create and implement a strategic plan that aligns with the school’s mission. They ensure that the school complies with all relevant laws and regulations, and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of the school’s operation.

Board members often serve as ambassadors for the school, advocating for its needs in the community, building relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders, and promoting the school’s mission and values. They support the administration by providing guidance, feedback, and resources, while also holding the school’s leadership accountable for meeting its goals and maintaining high standards.  Most importantly, the board members ensure that WCS’ Christian values are integrated into all aspects of the school’s operations, from curriculum to community.
