For over two decades, Weatherford Christian School has been privileged to provide Excellence in Christian Education. We deeply value our WCS families and have always made it a priority to keep our tuition affordable. Because tuition alone doesn’t cover the full cost of providing the robust educational experience we offer, sustained financial support is absolutely vital to our future.

As a Private Christian School, WCS is truly blessed by a community that believes in our mission. We are generously supported by generations of dedicated friends—including alumni, current parents, grandparents, local businesses, and community members. Their faithful gifts fuel everything we do, from capital improvements and financial aid to technology upgrades, mission projects, and critical teacher needs.

We are so incredibly grateful for our amazing donors and feel profoundly blessed by the strong, supportive community that surrounds Weatherford Christian School.

Thank you for your continued and faithful support!

Yes, charitable giving is an absolute necessity for a private Christian school to operate sustainably and fulfill its mission. Unlike public schools, private schools receive no tax dollars, meaning their entire operating budget must come from two primary sources: tuition and philanthropy.

Bridge the Gap

Tuition makes up 80% of our operating budget. You can make a charitable contribution to bridge the tuition gap. The need for 2025-26 school year is $219,000

  • The Reality of Cost: The actual expense of providing a high-quality education—including competitive teacher salaries, academic programs, technology, and facility maintenance—is often significantly higher than the price of tuition.

  • Keeping Tuition Affordable: If a school were to charge full-cost tuition, it would become prohibitively expensive for many families. Donations allow the school to subsidize the tuition rate, keeping the Christian education accessible to a wider, socio-economically diverse group of families. This is referred to as the “tuition gap.”

Funding Mission-Critical Programs

Financial Aid (Annual Goal $100,000)

A significant portion of donated funds is dedicated to financial aid to ensure the school is accessible to families who cannot afford the full cost. This directly supports the mission of serving a broader community. Weatherford Christian School offers needs-based tuition assistance to qualifying families via the Kaye Pugh “Partners for Progress” Fund. This Assistance applies only to tuition costs, does not cover any one-time or recurring fees, and is first-come, first-served. Click here to learn more about this program.

Program Enrichment

This would pay for essential, non-basic items that enhance the educational experience, such as: Arts, Athletics, Extra-Curricular programs; Advanced Technology and updated curriculum materials; and Professional Development for Faculty to retain excellent teachers.

Capital and Long-Term Stability

Endowment

Gifts to the Endowment Fund are invested, and the annual returns provide a permanent, stabilizing revenue source for the school, protecting it against fluctuations in enrollment or the economy.
