Each year Weatherford Christian School hosts an annual Day of Service, where each class comes together to give back to the Weatherford community and surrounding towns through service & prayer.  Students, teachers,  staff, and parents cover the town of Weatherford by serving and praying over many local businesses, non-profits, schools and churches.

Students visit over 65 local businesses, churches, and first responders, to thank them for their service to our community and for the many blessings they pour over the Weatherford community.  Students also visit local nursing homes where they spend time with the residents painting nails, playing games and doing crafts.  Our entire student body participate in a Center of Hope Food Drive to collect cake mix and frosting for the Christmas baskets at Center of Hope.

Elementary students shop for Operation Christmas Child, participate in packing bags of food for children in our community, making blankets for the homeless, decorating cards for local nursing homes, and providing snacks to local non-profit organizations, first responders, and businesses in our community.

Though WCS students participate in weekly mission projects, Day of Service gives them the opportunity to serve together as a school familly. Giving back to those less fortunate, or saying thank you to those who serve our community, are lessons that begin to mold a servant’s heart at a young age.   WCS believes that by giving their students the opportunity to serve their community that it will plant the seed that may one day lead them to take charge and give back to their own communities in an impactful way.

Learning to serve and give back to the community is an important part of a well-rounded Christian education. Students at WCS participate and lead community service projects with over 20 organizations throughout the year. Weatherford Christian School has also teamed up with Gilbert Christian School in Haiti that they support both spiritually and financially to help spread Kingdom education globally.
