LION PATROL is a Weatherford Christian School initiative for better family and community engagement where dedicated fathers and grandfathers make the commitment to serve by maintaining a visual presence during school hours Monday through Friday. Not only will these volunteers provide a visual presence, giving WCS an extra set of eyes and ears enhancing school security, but they also provide a positive male role models for the students.

LION PATROL is a PreK through 12th grade program, inviting fathers or grandfathers to volunteer at least one day, all day during the school year. They will perform a variety of tasks on Lion Patrol, including monitoring WCS’s main entrance beginning at 7:45 am, patrolling school grounds, maintaining a presence in our hallways, and helping to monitor the student pickup line and school parking lots at the conclusion of the school day.

Volunteers on LION PATROL are encouraged to have lunch with their child (lunch will be provided at no cost), and any other assigned activities where they actively engage not only with their own students, but other students as well.
