ANNUAL DAY OF SERVICE

Weatherford Christian School students in grades Pre-K thru 12th grade participate in their community wide Annual Day of Service each November.

In 2021, elementary students did chores to raise their own money to purchase gifts for Operation Christmas Child boxes, created handmade blankets for the Linus Project, made blessing bags for the homeless, and collected over 2000 food items for the Parker County Center of Hope.

Junior High and High School students made stops at over 130 businesses, first responders, and other non-profit organizations to pray over them, drop off cards and flower arrangements. They spent the rest of their afternoon cleaning homes for the elderly, visiting senior centers, serving food, painting, raking leaves, and many other projects.

Since its inception, one of the core values at WCS has been to raise servant leaders from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. This is the 7th year of dedicating a day for all WCS students to serve in various ways throughout Parker County. It is a great reminder that the people and businesses in Parker County are loved, appreciated, and an essential part of the community.

Though Day of Service was created as a time for WCS to thank those who make Parker County amazing, the students and staff go back to campus with hearts full of love and joy, knowing how privileged they are to live in a great community.
